Fashion is a self-expression which shapes our identity even before we introduce ourselves. I am five feet tall. I have personally seen and experienced how the unavailability of clothing designs and size choices limit women with short height to express themselves confidently and comfortably on a daily basis. Therefore, I wanted to create a good fashion experience for petite women through design and size choices which are a good fit, and which accentuate their bodies. Western influences and social media have glorified specific standards of beauty. Ameya, which means boundless, breaks free from those standards and promotes natural body types and encourages every individual to be boundlessly themselves.

Ameya specializes in petite clothing and provides well designed clothes for petite women of height 5’1” and below. The collection is named Spry (means lively, free-spirited) in the category smart casuals. It is inspired by the bold and bright traditional attires of Rana-Tharu women of Nepal, famous for their bright and beautiful attires and jewelry. Spry also brings our native tradition into our daily lives with its celebration of bold colors and traditional motifs through sophisticated and restrained designs.
